# What is $DMT?

The native cryptographically-secure fungible protocol token of the Dream Machine platform, Dream Machine Token (ticker symbol **$DMT**), that powers Dream Machine games is a transferable representation of attributed utility functions specified in the protocol/code of the Dream Machine platform, and which is designed to be used solely as an interoperable utility token thereon.
