# Creating an Auction

Auctions are liquidity pools that use the gradual Dutch auction (GDA). Anyone can create an auction to buy or sell NFTs on sudoswap.

To create an auction, navigate to the [Create Auction](https://sudoswap.xyz/#/auction/create) interface. Then, follow the steps below.

1. On the [Create Auction](https://sudoswap.xyz/#/auction/create) interface, select an NFT collection in the top pane:

2. Choose whether you want to buy or sell NFTs.
3. Optionally, choose an ERC20 token the NFTs should trade against. By default, NFTs trade against ETH.
4. Enter a starting price for the auction and select the auction speed:

5. Enter the total amount you wish to spend or select the NFTs you'd like to auction:

6. Select "Create Auction" and confirm the approval and pool creation transactions in your wallet.

### Managing Existing Pools <a href="#managing-existing-pools" id="managing-existing-pools"></a>

You can [deposit and withdraw](https://docs.sudoswap.xyz/user-guide/creating-a-pool/#depositing-and-withdrawing) from auctions as you would for any other sudoswap pool.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.sanko.xyz/sanko-mainnet/sudoswap/user-guide/creating-an-auction.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
